15. The size of the
moon - This song is one of a kind. I don't think I have heard anything quite like it. To me, that's always a good thing and it earned this song its place on this list.
14. Namikaze satellite - I really like this song and the trip down memory lane was very nostalgic. Naruto nostalgia is so much better than regular nostalgia and therefore this opening is being rewarded for giving me that nostalgic feeling.
13. Re:member - One of my only problems with the original Naruto is that you don't get to see everyone's moves too often. This opening fixed that problem by showing all the gennins' most well known moves. I never quite understood the whole rainbow rasengan though...
12. Seishun kyousoukyoku - It's definitely important for the audience to know what exactly is happening. This opening can catch you up even if you missed the last 10 episodes. You have to love that about it. Also, it is very beautifully put together with the song.
11. Closer - I honestly didn't like this song at first, but after about a month I was humming/singing along. After talking with the co-creator of this blog about it, I knew it had to have a place in this list.
10. Haruka Kanata - This song is awesome. It did what exactly what it was meant to do. It got us all pumped for the chuunin exams and even singing along (admit it, you did that too when it was new).
9. Distance - This just might be my favorite sequence change. I personally didn't like Heroes come back. This song made up for the whole time I had listen to that song. Also, it has an epic montage for Naruto and Sasuke.
8. No Boy, No Cry - No Boy, No Cry + Naruto= this is gonna be awesome. It's simple math. It only takes the first one and a half seconds of this song to know it's going to be epic. Combine that with a rasengan (hey, they were a big deal back then) and the Akatsuki, and you got yourself a genuinely incredible title sequence.
7. Toumei datta sekai
- This sequence does an amazing job of capturing the Pain invasion of the Hidden Leaf. it showcases nearly all the Pains' powers if not all and starts off with Jiraiya writing his book. Combine that with a great song and we've got a beautiful, beautiful work of art.
6. Go!!! - Everyone loves this song. That's just a fact. I don't care if Albert Einstein himself came back from the grave just to tell me I was wrong. I would still say that everyone loves this song over and over again. This is probably the most iconic opening song of the original Naruto series and everyone's favorite.
5. Niwaka ame nimo
makezu - The song we all thought should have replaced totsugeki rock (oh how you disgust me totsugeki rock). It has a great rhythm and there's a Gokage battle in the sequence. it really gets you pumped up for the fight between them and Madara.
4. Diver - Just like closer, I had to get used to this song. However, when I finally did, I absolutely loved it. NICO TOUCHES THE WALL does a splendid job of making the idea of a Naruto vs. Sasuke rematch even more epic than I had thought before.
3. Newsong - Normally, a comedic sequence at such a crucial point in the plot would be a bad idea. Somehow, it ended up not just working but it made itself your favorite Naruto song for the time it was the sequence. My only problem with the sequence was when I was insidiously trolled. Just when you think Naruto learned a real jutsu, and a big one at that, it turns out he's just dancing.
2. Sign - I'm a very cheap person. Ask anybody I know. I only spend my money when I feel it would detrimental or immoral for me not to. Yet I felt that I had to buy this song when I heard it. The song matches perfectly with the sequence. The Sasuke vs. Itachi scene was probably one of the best fight scenes I've seen in Naruto. Then, you see sage mode Jiraiya fighting Pain and the amount of awesome is just too much to take in at one time.
1. Lovers – The
epic music just screams action and it’s got really good scenes to back it up
(man that explosion behind killer bee was tight). When you hear this song you know it’s going
to be a really, really good episode.
